Service Details

As your Antepartum doula I will provide:

Along with little bit of everything else including:

• researcher

• confidante

• organizer

• hand-holder

• shoulder to cry on

• and some times an extra pair of hands around the house to help out with life in general

As your Doula I will:

• help your family prepare a birth plan

• facilitate communication between the laboring mommy and her support team (health care providers, partner, extended family)

• support the decisions of the birthing family

• provide continuous physical and emotional support during labor

• suggest positions for the laboring mom

• suggest appropriate comfort strategies (shower, massage, birth ball, etc.)

• support your partner and help them to participate in the birth in ways that are comfortable for them

• provide labor support at home and/or at the hospital

I will not:

• Make any decisions for you or your family

• Argue with hospital staff

• Perform clinical tasks (fetal heart tones, vaginal checks or blood pressure checks)

• Operate or touch medical equipment

• I am not a midwife. I do not catch babies!

Regardless of class, race, religion, birth choices or financial situations.
We do offer reduced fees , payment plans and bartering for    families who qualify.
